Reach wide and long with this weapon; Hang forward and over in response to the cut. Step forward with your body, Guide your cut inward and powerfully around them, Let it fly to all four ends. You can deceive them with body language [and] pulling. You should counteract with the Strong, [And] simultaneously injure them with the Weak. You shouldn’t approach closer Than the point from which you can reach them with one step. If they want to swiftly run in at you, The front end will drive them away from you. If they were to have run in at you, You should be the first with grappling [and] wrestling. Observe the Strong and the Weak, Indes makes the openings clear. Mit deinem Leib, darzu trit ferr,
Dein häw führ gwaltig umb ihn her,
Zu all vier enden, lass die fliegen,

Inn die stärck soltu versetzen,
Mit der schwäch zugleich ihn letzen,
Auch näher soltu kommen nit,
Dann dast ihn langest mit eim trit,
